Here is my latest handspun. It is sportweight (approx 20 wpi) and 90 yards. I just have to set the twist and then I will probably ply it.

Isn’t this the coolest thing for spinners? At http://www.thebellwether.com you can get a yearly subscription where they send you samples of the fibers they carry and a cute little zine with special offers and members only fibers 6-10 times a year. When you first join you can have them send you all the fibers they have in stock too! It was only $16 for a years subscription + all the fibers. There is plenty to save a bit and spin with the rest to see what you like!
Too many baby shows…….

I swear all that is on all day is Baby Story, Bringing Home Baby, Baby Baby, etc. I can’t stop watching them either. Why women do this to themselves, I have no clue. Pregnant women are everywhere, everywhere but here. I feel kind of stupid because I never even wanted to be pregnant, I was going to adopt.
But here I am wanting, yearning, hoping for that lovely BFP (big fat positive) each month, only to be crushed when AF shows yet again. My husband is very supportive, but yet he doesn’t quite get it. I overanalyze everything and can drive myself crazy. Some days I think I need to get my meds looked at again. The Paxil is making me fat anyway. But I know I can’t go through weaning off and trying new ones, it is working, I just have to cope.
I have read Taking Charge of Your Fertility back and front, have been trying supplements and using the Clearblue Fertility Monitor along with ovulation sticks. I know I am ovulating, although that doens’t mean that it is making it to the uterus or able to implant. We are timing our BDing (baby dancing, sex, the hibbity jibbity) right and using PreSeed, freaking fertility friendly lube, did you know regular lube kills sperm??? I didn’t.
I am trying to keep my spirits up, we haven’t been trying that long (only 4 months), but my biological clock is ticking loud and quickly. I will be 31 in May and hubby just turned 35. I know, we are still young and all of that, but it needs to happen soon or I know it won’t happen at all.
At least I have my niece to brighten my life, she will be here in 11 days for her 1st birthday. She is our doll girl and I love her to pieces. And she reminds me that even if I can’t get pregnant that adoption fills those needs and beautifully so. I just shopped for her birthday yesterday and she is going to be one happy little girl. 🙂
I am trying to just be positive, it isn’t always easy, but life isn’t, right?

Fiber Friday 02/23/07
Yesterday was a fabulous day! I got my spinning wheel!! A Lendrum ST folding wheel. I am in love. Unfortunately the plying head is broken and I still waiting to hear if and when they will send me a new one. Ugh.
So I sat down and spun like a fool yesterday. Took a while, but I am finally getting the hang of it. My yarn isn’t so even yet, but it is soft and squishy and all mine.
Here is what I made!
My first single, it is a wool blend in Marigold from SE
Oscar the Grouch—-30 yards of corriedale (the green, Hosta from Spunky Eclectic) and merino (the white is mill ends from the Sheep Shed) plied. Named by betzi’s son from Craftster.
St. Patty’s Day—30 yards of corriedale (Pine from SE) and merino (ends again) plied.
